Meet Ms. Liz

Ms. Sherry “Liz” Anderson

Hello! My name is Ms. Liz, and I have been a Special Education teacher since 2021. I graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. My journey into education began in 2020 after working as a full-time substitute teacher and MTSS interventionist. It was during this time that I discovered my true passion for teaching and supporting students with diverse learning needs.

I completed the Master of Arts in Teaching program at William Carey University in 2021, earning my teaching license along with a Special Education K-12 endorsement. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Dyslexia Therapy from William Carey University, furthering my mission to help students overcome the unique challenges dyslexia presents.

I am excited to be part of The Bridge and look forward to supporting students with dyslexia as they work toward their goals and dreams. I’ve witnessed firsthand how dyslexia can hinder a student’s confidence and potential — but I am determined to change that. With the right support, students with dyslexia can achieve anything they set their minds to.

Outside of the classroom, I am a proud animal lover. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me spending quality time with my beloved dog, Archie Lee Johnson.
